This is one of our gentlest patterns. You need a magic ring, single crochet, increases and invisible decreases — that's all. Two steps go a little further, joining the two legs with a short chain bridge and crocheting the arms and tail straight onto the body, and both are written out stitch by stitch exactly where they happen.

Because the body grows up out of the legs and picks up the tail and arms along the way, almost nothing needs sewing. Only the head and ears ask for a needle — five pieces in total — and both body and head finish at exactly 18 stitches, so the seam simply can't come out crooked.
