Crochet Doll Pattern – Mr. Pumpkin Man

A round pumpkin head with six cinched grooves, a curled sage leaf trio at the stem, and a small chibi body in taupe dungarees with a soft patch pocket. His cheeks are blushed, his smile is a shallow U, and he sits with his rounded ball feet turned gently outward 🧶

The body and head are beginner work from start to finish — magic ring, single crochet, increases and decreases. Only the dungarees ask for a little more confidence, and they're a simple tube with a bib worked flat. Every shaping round ends on a printed number, so you always know before you move on.

He's worked in continuous spiral rounds on a 4.0 mm hook in chenille bulky, in eleven pieces total. The head is 15 rounds, the body 16, and the arms are crochet-joined during one body round — no sewing there at all. That leaves nine pieces to sew, with the assembly order laid out step by step and the pumpkin grooves cinched first, before anything else goes on.
