Sage is a sleepy stone-grey sloth with a cream face disc, dark brown eye patches and long brown arms curled around a little four-leaf sprig. A soft tan band wraps the back between his arms, and a tiny brown nose sits above the gentlest stitched smile 💗
He's beginner-friendly and low-sew. You'll use a magic ring, single crochet, increases and invisible decreases, with half double and double crochet only for the leafy sprig. The one lovely trick here: his two stub feet are joined with a short chain bridge to form the base, then the whole body grows upward as a single capsule — no separate legs to attach.
His arms crochet-join directly during one body round, so only three pieces are sewn: the cream face disc, the nose and the sprig. The eye patches are held in place by the safety-eye washers, with edge sewing left entirely optional.
Your download is a PDF in English, in US crochet terms, with materials, abbreviations, gauge notes, round-by-round instructions, face assembly, finishing, troubleshooting and safety notes. He finishes at 14 cm / 5.5 inches tall, in chenille bulky on a 4.0 mm hook.
Slow, soft and calming to make — very much in character ✨
