Meet Koko — a soft grey koala in bulky chenille, with big round ears lined in cream, a dark grey muzzle and matching waist stripe, a cream belly patch, and a sage green eucalyptus sprig held against her chest. Little pink cheeks and a small embroidered nose finish her face. 💗
Koko is a beginner project. Her body is 26 rounds of single crochet in one continuous top-down piece, and beyond the basics you'll only need a few half double crochets for the eucalyptus leaves.
The arms, tail, and feet are all crocheted directly into the body rounds as you work, so there's no fiddly limb-sewing waiting for you. Four pieces are sewn on at the end: two ears, the muzzle, and the belly patch. The eucalyptus sprig is a stem chain with six small leaves stitched along it, tucked between her arms.
Your download includes the full pattern in English, all in US crochet terms, with materials, gauge, colour map, round-by-round instructions, assembly order, finishing, and troubleshooting. Finished size is about 14 cm (5.5 in) tall, with her ears adding roughly 2 cm above that, worked with a 4.0 mm hook.
Pin the ears before you sew and she'll come together beautifully. ✨
