Meet Peanut — a soft grey elephant in bulky chenille, with pink-lined ears that stand out from his head, a droopy little trunk, and a dark grey stripe around his neck. A small tuft of a tail at the back, a yellow peanut tucked between his arms, and a face made of nothing but eyes and a blush of pink. 💗
Peanut is a beginner project. His body is 23 rounds of single crochet, and everything you need is a magic ring, increases, invisible decreases, and back or front loop only.
He's worked top-down as one continuous piece, from the crown of his head all the way down to closure. The arms and feet are made flat beforehand and crocheted right into the body rounds — no sewing at all for those. That leaves only three pieces to stitch on: the trunk and two ears. The tail tuft is knotted through a stitch, and the peanut is optional.
Your download includes the full pattern in English, all in US crochet terms, with materials, gauge, colour map, round-by-round instructions, assembly order, finishing, and troubleshooting. Finished size is about 14 cm (5.5 in) tall with a 4.0 mm hook.
Nothing complicated here — just soft rounds and a very sweet face at the end. ✨
