Panda Amigurumi Crochet Pattern — Bao

Bao is a chubby little panda in soft white chenille, with a bold black band around his middle, round black ears, teardrop eye patches and a small green bamboo stalk to tuck between his arms. He sits upright and solid, and the chenille gives him that plush, pat-me finish 💗

This is a lovely step up for a confident beginner — the only new idea is crochet-joining, and we walk you through it stitch by stitch. The head and body are one continuous piece worked top-down, with the black stripe made simply by changing colour mid-body. The arms are crochet-joined during the stripe rounds and the tail during a later round, so neither one needs sewing. That leaves the two ears, two eye patches and two feet to sew at the end, plus the optional bamboo tacked in place.
