A small brown reindeer in a bright orange scarf. The face is worked in white across the muzzle and around the eyes, with a dark brown nose stitched on top and soft brown antlers standing up between the ears — each one a big horn with a smaller one sewn alongside. Fourteen little white spots run down the back of the head and body. It stands about 15 cm (6 inches) tall, measured from the bottom to the antler tips.

Worked in bulky yarn on a 3.5 mm hook, so it grows quickly under your hands. Every round is numbered with its stitch count, and progress photos follow the pieces as you go. The colour work happens mid-round, changing between brown and white, which takes a little patience but no new stitches — single crochet, increases and decreases carry the whole thing, with half double crochet just for the scarf.

The head and body grow as one continuous spiral, R1 through R42, so there's no neck seam. Then eleven small pieces sew on — ears, antlers, muzzle, nose, arms, legs and tail — plus the scarf and the spots.
