Vesper is soft, wide-eyed and a little bit mysterious 🧶 A grey chenille moth-creature with four flat wings marked in cream dashes, two tall blade antennae, dusty rose eyes and a fluffy cream collar that sits high around the neck. A small crescent moon charm hangs at the front on a twine cord, if you'd like it.
This one is a confident beginner make. You'll need a magic ring, single crochet, increases, invisible decreases, a little flat work in rows, a two-leg chain bridge and simple straight-stitch embroidery — nothing sharper than that, and no colour changes inside a round.
Legs, body and head are one continuous piece worked from the feet upward. The arms are crocheted straight into a body round, so they're never sewn, and the fur collar grows out of free front loops left in the body — also no sewing. Only the four wings and the two antennae get stitched on.
Your download comes in English, in US crochet terms, with a full materials list, gauge check, size confirmations for every piece and a long troubleshooting section. Vesper stands about 16 cm (6.3 in) tall, with a 19 cm wingspan.
Go gently, and let the collar do the work — a good brush makes it twice as full ✨
