Witch Doll Crochet Pattern – Luna

Luna sits in a dusty purple dress with a scalloped hem, her caramel curls tumbling out from under a tall pointed hat. The hat has a raised ivory band at the base of the cone and a tiny crescent moon charm at the front. She wears little striped boots, holds a small tan-bristled broom tucked under one arm, and her face is a shallow V of a smile with pink blush low on each cheek. 💗

This one is written for confident beginners — single crochet, dc, chains, slip stitches, and some back-loop and front-loop work.

The clever part is that the dress isn't sewn. Head and body are one continuous top-down piece with the purple bodice worked straight into the body rounds, and the skirt then grows downward from a ring of free front loops at the waist. The arms crochet-join during a body round too, so what's left to sew is the hair cap, both boots, the broom and the hat — five pieces, plus the curls worked directly onto the cap edge.
