What lands in your inbox
Five little woodland friends, each one small enough to hang from your keys. An orange fox with a cream chest and dark brown paws and tail tip. A round taupe owl with cream eye patches, a golden yellow beak and little yellow feet. A red toadstool with white spots on a cream stem. A forest green leaf, worked flat with a midrib and soft lobes. And an acorn with a brown cap. The fox and owl stand about 6.5 cm tall, the mushroom 6 cm, the leaf 7.5 cm long, and the acorns 4 cm.
Everything is worked in DK cotton on a 2.75 mm hook, so the fabric stays firm and the stuffing stays hidden. Every round is numbered with its stitch count, progress photos follow each piece, and there's a troubleshooting page for gaps, ladders and colour jogs.
The fox and owl grow head-to-body in one continuous piece, rounds 1 through 20 — no neck seam. Some small parts are crocheted straight on; others are attached with a tapestry needle. Across the whole set that comes to twelve small pieces to sew, none of them larger than a fingertip.
